I was considering taking the
medical transcription course but have read that you can injure your
back, neck, wrists and hands. Repetative strain injury scares me. Any
medical transcriptionsts that have been doing this work for years have
any advice?

Medical transcriptionists should have to make sure that they have invested in a decent office chair with back support,
always use a wrist rest for their mouse and don't type more than five hours and a half of audio per
day and get regular exercises. They have to make sure that they take
plenty of breaks during the day and have regular eye tests.
They will only be prone to injuries if they overdo it, like medical transcription job and any other job really.
Hope this helps. :-)
